2001 NJSIAA/Bob's Store District XIV Team Champions - Livingston

Livingston regained the District XIV team championship, accumulating a total 194 points while defending champion Bloomfield was runnerup with 142 points. Nutley finished third with 94 points and Bellevile was fourth with 74 as the Maroons swapped places with the Buccaneers. Livingston won the team title in 1998 and 1999 before the Bengals snapped the string last year.
Livingston's Pat Trabucco (160) four-peated while his teammate Matt Kirspel 152), who did not compete in last year's tourney because of a knee injury, won his third gold medal. Rick Barry (130) of Livingston also won his third title while Newark Academy's Jim Avola (103), Bloomfield's Joe Galioto (145) and Nutley's Anthony Montes (119) successfully defended titles.
Trabucco was chosen the Outstanding Wrestler after claiming his fourth District XIV gold medal by pinning Newark Academy's Jon Bruno in a rematch of the Essex County Tournament 160-pound title bout.
